How to use grass cutter step 1 Adjust the gap. If you want a small gap between two pieces of grass to make the grass face not too crowded, loose the crews and move the plate outwards to keep a small gap there. If you don't want any gap, keep it tight. step 2 Put the edge of another piece of grass into the groove of the tool. step 3 Put the extra part of grass on the grass cutter, and then push forward.
