I reco filling the base with 2-3, 50LB bags of sand through a funnel (additional cost $18-25 at Home Depot).The spring has enough flex to give a little snap back when striking. The gloves fit perfectly. I highly reco buying this product if you are looking to get boxing workouts in. Price point is unbeatable. Including the gloves is a bonus.Easy to assemble.
